We’ve been collecting used clothing in Ireland and UK for the last six years and have been left amazed by how generous people are.

It is very easy to make an act of goodness. Every one of us can be generous and help other people by the very simple act of giving away old clothing to Second Life. 

This simple deed makes three positive effects on the world:

A Cleaner Earth

Everything we buy has an environmental impact, and chucking things out before using them up makes the impact bigger than it needs to be. 

The clothing you give away gets a second life instead of gathering dust or going into the bin, and works as recycling instead of adding on to pollution. If before purchasing a piece of clothing everyone would give away an old one, pollution would decrease significantly.

Charities and good deeds

Second Life turns the clothing you give away into charities and good deeds. We stand by important issues. We are making change, where it is needed the most, and creating a better world by improving people’s lives.

Our main charity partner at the moment is Childhood Cancer Fund Rugute, registered and operating in Lithuania (registration no. 300070090). There are few things more unfortunate in the world than a little innocent child suffering from a deadly disease. Rugute helps such kids in Lithuania in various ways. Affordable wear for people in Eastern European countries

Collected old clothing goes to charity shops in Eastern European countries, where people have modest incomes, which are barely enough to cover basic needs, let alone those for new clothing. Charity shops have become the only solution for numerous people, who can’t afford new clothes. They are grateful for an opportunity to improve their own and family life.

We are open to other charities and willing to support and run bag collections for them.
